Not replaceableeditor verdict · 0 votes
Adobe's suite of creative software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Lightroom…) by subscription. Creative Cloud Pro at €78.65 a month with annual commitment (price including tax, read on the site).
Photoshop, Illustrator or Premiere are professional software of several million lines of code, with file formats that the whole industry uses. No in-house development replaces them. For occasional use (simple retouching, a logo), free alternatives exist; for professional use, keep the suite.
What you lose
- The PSD, AI and PRPROJ file formats exchanged across the profession
- Professional-grade retouching, vector and editing tools
- Integration between the apps
- Built-in generative AI features
