Free and open-source online survey platform since 2003: questionnaires with skip logic, quotas, quick graphical evaluation, public statistics, exports to SPSS, R, Stata, CSV, Excel and PDF, more than 80 languages for administration and surveys, multilingual surveys. Free Community edition to install on your own server (data stays there). Cloud, VAT 20% included: Basic at €34 a month (1 administrator, 1,000 responses a month), Expert at €29 a month billed €348 a year (3 administrators), Business at €75 a month billed €900 a year; Corporate on quote with SSO, LDAP and SAML. For most needs of a restaurateur, hotelier or freelancer, a few-page questionnaire with simple conditional jumps and a CSV export is easy to build, without the density of LimeSurvey, originally designed for academic surveys. The features that justify the tool: quotas, large-scale multilingual surveys, export to statistical software and the many question types. If you need none of that, a custom tool is lighter to maintain; otherwise the free Community edition is an excellent starting point.

The prompt to build it yourself
Build a small survey tool for my business, replacing an online survey platform. Context: I run 3 or 4 surveys a year with 200 to 500 people (customers, teams). To do: - A page-based questionnaire editor with question types: single choice, multiple choice, scale, simple matrix, free text. - Simple conditional jumps between pages based on answers. - Individual single-use invitation links, to avoid duplicates. - Tracking of the response rate and an email reminder to people who have not answered. - Results: counts, percentages, averages, cross-tabulation of two questions, charts. - A CSV and Excel export. Out of scope: quotas, more than 80 languages, exports to statistical software. Stack: web app, PostgreSQL. README: how to run, backup, retention and deletion of responses (GDPR), anonymising results.
