The prompt to build it yourself
Build me a quote and invoicing tool, for my business, to replace a subscription. Stack: web app (Next.js or Node/Express) with SQLite, hosted on my small server, usable on phone and computer. No mandatory paid service, no telemetry. Core of the tool: - Customer file, quote then invoice from the quote, deposit and balance. - Payment tracking: invoice sent, paid, overdue, reminder by email (configurable SMTP). - CSV export of invoices for my accountant. Requirements: - Quotes and invoices as PDF: continuous numbering with no gaps, mandatory mentions, VAT per line, deposit and balance. To be validated by my accountant. - Invoices and customers are never deleted: a mistake is corrected with a credit note. - Data on my server, automatic backup, CSV export. Out of scope: accounting, banking and VAT returns. README: installation, backup, and a reminder that the tool produces documents but does not replace the approved platform that electronic invoicing reform will eventually require (timetable to be checked), which remains out of scope.
