TastyCloud
Interactive digital menus, online ordering and click & collect for restaurants, bars and hotels.
A QR code digital menu is one of the simplest cases to rebuild. As soon as you add online ordering and payment, reliability at the rush hour becomes the hard subject again.
What you lose
- Reliability of online payment at the rush hour.
- Automatic printing of orders in the kitchen.
- Integration with your till.

The prompt to build it yourself
Build me an interactive digital menu with online ordering and click & collect, for my venue, to replace a subscription. Stack: web app (Next.js or Node/Express) with SQLite, hosted on my small server, usable on phone and computer. No mandatory paid service, no telemetry. Core of the tool: - Online menu with options (cooking, side dish) and extras. - Click & collect order with a pickup slot and a limit of orders per slot. - Online payment through Stripe Checkout (test mode to start with) or payment on pickup. Requirements: - Menu editable online: categories, dishes, photos, prices incl. VAT and service, dish of the day, instant publishing. - Allergens: the 14 allergens ticked per dish, visible to the customer (decree 2015-447); origin of meats and the “homemade” label only if it is true. - Printable QR code per table or for the whole venue. - Mobile first, very fast, no customer account, works on a poor connection. - An order paid online must be recorded in my NF525-certified till: export the day's orders as CSV for entry or import. Out of scope: delivery and integration with the till. README: installation and a reminder that the QR code does not replace the display of prices visible from outside (order of 27 March 1987); every paid order must be recorded in my certified till.
