Sirvoy

Partly replaceableOur view: worth studying depending on your use.free (paid plans from €11/month)casevibecode verdict · 0 votesPage updated on October 23, 2026 · Published by North Studio

Swedish hotel management system for independent hotels, B&Bs and guesthouses: booking engine with 0% commission, one-page site with no code, invoicing and basic accounting, automatic SMS, and a channel manager (Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb, Agoda, Hostelworld) in the Pro plan. Free for a property with one room and up to 5 extras; Starter at €11 a month billed annually (€12 monthly), Pro at €41 billed annually (€44 monthly). 14-day trial. Booking engine in more than 20 languages; French version of the site.

The room occupancy calendar, rates, invoicing and a direct booking form can be built for a small property, and that is the part Sirvoy charges little for. The gap is the channel manager: continuously synchronising availability with Booking.com, Expedia or Airbnb goes through approved connections that each platform reserves for partners. If you only sell direct, a custom tool is enough; as soon as you sell through online agencies, a PMS like Sirvoy avoids the risk of double bookings.

What you lose

  • The channel manager linked to Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb, Agoda and Hostelworld.
  • The booking engine in more than 20 languages.
  • Automatic SMS to guests.
  • The vendor's 24/7 support.

What a home-built tool costs once it exists

  • Hosting and database: a server cost, and automatic backups you actually test.
  • Security and GDPR: dependency updates, an HTTPS certificate, protection of your customers’ data.
  • Upkeep time: who fixes the tool on a Saturday night in the middle of service if the server goes down?

The prompt to build it yourself

Open in ClaudeOpen in CodexOpen in Cursor
Build a small direct-booking system for my guesthouse, replacing hotel management software.

Context: 6 rooms, I only sell direct (phone, email, website), not through online agencies.

To do:
- Rooms and room types with rates by season and number of guests.
- A visual booking calendar per room, with conflict detection and date blocking.
- A booking request form on my site (dates, guests, contact details) that creates a request to approve, then a confirmation email in French and English.
- A PDF invoice at checkout with tourist tax calculated per person and per night.
- A guest file and an arrival reminder the day before by email.

Out of scope: synchronisation with Booking.com, Airbnb and other agencies, online payment.

Stack: web app, PostgreSQL. README: how to run, backup, a reminder to declare the tourist tax and keep the police registration form for foreign travellers.
